RMI Online Workshops
Howdy World:
I'm offering my Practical AS3 online workshop again tomorrow, Saturday 6/28. I'm posting about it here because the RMI online workshops are still pretty new, and a lot of people might not know about them or what they really are.
RMI offers online workshops using Adobe Acrobat Connect. Students tune in from any broadband-connected computer -- we've already had students attend from around the world, from as far away as New Zealand and London. The instructor has prepared four hours of content, primarily in screencapture (rather than live screen sharing) so the student experience is really great (prepared videos with high framerates and no instructor stumbling or bandwidth hiccups). Students download the instructor's files, follow along and can ask questions during the course, and the instructor answers them, breaking into live screen sharing if necessary.
The training session is recorded and the students get free access to the archives for 30 days after the course, to review the content. We've offered several of these so far and the student feedback on the experience has been really good. I'd pimp our online PV3D Optimization workshop this Sunday, but it's sold out, so you'd probably just get upset
Share and enjoy!
