Senior Flash Programmer in Quebec City (Canada)

SENIOR FLASH PROGRAMMER

QUEBEC CITY (CANADA)

A North American leader in the development of interactive products (video games) is currently seeking a Senior Flash Programmer.

The position would require programming and integrating game elements. He (she) would oversee the work of the programmers and act as a leader within the team.

Description of tasks

* Become aware of project documents provided by the Project Manager.
* Define, structure and document programming modules and data to be processed.
* Integrate, assemble and test the graphics, sound and video of the game by following the documentation provided.
* Ensure compliance with the standards of quality established.
* Ensure data integrity and performance of the game.
* Respect the technical requirements, methods of work and production schedules.
* Look for sound effects, adapt and integrate audio.
* Communicate any problems encountered during production to his (her) supervisor.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or DEC in computing, software engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, computer science degree or certificate in integrated computing
* A minimum of four (4) years experience in programming
* Knowledge of Macromedia Flash Programming (Action Script)
* Knowledge of UML modeling
* Have the ability for object-oriented programming
* Knowledge of web programming - PHP - ASP - MySQL - HTML
* Knowledge of other programming languages: C + +, Java, etc.
* Be resourceful and show autonomy
* Bilingual English / French
* Excellent communication both orally and in writing (English and French)
* Ability to work with a team
* Possess the necessary skills to bring to term a project
* Have a general video game knowledge
* Have a keen interest in new media and be able to evaluate, critique and improve existing products
* Provide leadership
