Are you looking for new talent? Resources for internships and junior level positions? Who am I kidding -- you and I both know you're desperate for talent, and you're willing to pay through the teeth for it.

Well, fortunately, you don't have to!

Please join us on May 21st for the 2nd Budding Talent Night, in which we invite college students to present themselves and their work, and encourage you to turn out and hire them before someone else does! The students will have about 8 minutes each to tell the audience about what their focus is, demonstrate a piece or two from his/her portfolio, and answer any questions from the attendees.

We will also feature a talk on the Gaia framework, making it easy to create completely functional Flash websites (description below).

This time, for the Budding Talent presentations, we've expanded to include Cal State Northridge, in addition to USC, Otis, and the Art Institute, who have studied under Elliot Mebane, Tim Harris, Noah Dziobecki and R Blank.

These students have studied Flash under some of the top developers in LA and are interested in putting their new skills to use in rewarding internships and entry level design/development/production positions.

Come recruit your top talent of tomorrow! Get to these kids before your competitors do! And then stay for after-party, to network with your peers and colleagues over some drinks.

Description:
Gaia is an open-source front-end Flash Framework for AS3 and AS2 designed to dramatically reduce development time.

Gaia is targeted at anyone who develops Flash sites. It provides solutions to the challenges and repeated tasks we all face with front-end Flash site development, such as navigation, transitions, preloading, asset management, site structure, deep linking and SEO. It provides speed and flexibility in your workflow and a simple API that gives you access to its powerful features.

Gaia's revolutionary scaffolding engine generates all your Flash files and classes for you and gets you up and running with a fully functional site in less than 10 minutes without writing a single line of code!

Gaia uses a pragmatic and agile approach, and is focused on helping you do your job without getting in your way. And, it is flexible enough to enable you to work the way you like to work without forcing you to change your style. Whether you write everything in strictly-typed AS3 or AS2 classes, hack AS1 on the timeline or anywhere in between, Gaia helps you get the job done.

Gaia is being used by top agencies around the world, including 2Advanced, Gringo, and Avenue A / Razorfish London, for clients like Disney, Anheuser-Busch, Electronic Arts, and FX.
